Perfect for Portability Apr 11, 2007
By Ray Bride Bought the ice maker for the RV to take on the road. The stainless steel looks very professional. Makes ice very quickly and automatically. Viewing window lets you see how much ice is available, so you don't have to open door and melt the ice.

Nice, durable ice maker Jul 11, 2006
By Hencold Just got this. Gave it a whirl at a family bbq in the backyard, and it worked like a charm. Plugged it in, and there was ice available in about 10 minutes.

The freezer works as advertized. It is easy to set up and starts producing ice right away. I am very happy with the product.

It Sure Does Stink Sep 07, 2009

The ice maker came with rubber feet that allow you to level the ice maker if it is on an uneven surface. And I must tell you that those rubber feet smell so bad it is unbelievable. They stink up the whole room. And guess what the ice tastes like? You got it...like a tire store. It is horrid. After running several tankfuls of water through and throwing away the resulting ice, the taste of Goodyear was still there. This was even after I took off the rubber feet and banished them to the garage. So I called Air N Water and apparantly this was not news to them. They said to put a capful of vinegar in the tank and let it clean out the system. So when that tankful was done, the new ice tasted like a combo of vinegar and rubber. Yikes!!! After a week of running tankful after tankful of water through it, the ice still tasted horrible. So I started adding a couple of squirts of lemon juice to the water and it is now livable, I guess. I love ice and if you love it like I do, this is not the machine for you. The ice is very soft and melts in the drink right away.
And to top all that drama off, now the fan makes a funny noise like a bug has gotten into it when it starts up and turns off. Great...it is heavy and I am small. To pack it up and send it back would be a huge hassle that I would have to pay for, so I guess I will live with the stupid thing, unless of course it dies. Oh and Air N Water did say that if I couldn't get the smell out, they would replace it...something I am sure they have had to do in the past with other buyers. If you do order this machine, maybe you can request a non-rubberized version.
