Awesome Icemaker for parties to keep your beverages cold! Apr 30, 2008
By prinny42 Already had one of these for myself. I don't have a good back and i entertain regularly. so these ice makers are great for me. It puts out ice pretty fast so i just have to turn it on before people start arriving.

Newair AI-210W Ice Cube Maker Aug 27, 2008
By Kenneth Simoneau The first unit arrived DOA (dead on arrival), I contacted the company and they shipped a new one out that day. It arrived with a return slip for the other one. The new one works great. It is so nice to deal with a company that backs it's product. I would highly recommend any of Newair products.

Made 12 ice cubes but didn't dump them into basket Oct 26, 2009

I didn't have a good experience with this item. Got it and followed instructions for running through lemon water as directed. It did make ice then but only once dumped it into the basket. Since it would not dump into the basket, it wouldn't make more ice unless I manually picked up the cubes out of the upper bin where they are released. I gave it ample time to dump and even tried turning it on and off to accomplish the dumping thinking I had turned it off by accident or something, but no luck. Interestingly the troubleshooting page didn't address this particular situation and when I tried to find the number for the company in the instruction manual, there was nothing in it as to how to contact the company, so I decided to return it to Amazon, something I was dreading. I can't tell you how pleasantly surprised I was when I discovered the return procedure through Amazon was a breeze! Very easily accomplished (assuming UPS really does come pick it up in the next 3 days).

Portable Ice Maker Jul 04, 2009
By H. Jenkins Only problem I had was knowing if it was running or not, light comes on, then off, then... nothing for a long time. But it did finally start making ice. Now that I know how it operates I'm quite happy with it. The bigger cubes take a lot longer to produce than expected, if you want ice in 10 minutes, start with the smallest cube size. However I'd recommend the product overall. Draining the water is a bit of a nuisance but at least the port doesn't leak.

Great until it breaks--no repair support Jul 20, 2010
By R. Schmuelling I loved this little goober, right up until the day it quit working--oh about 6 mos or so after I bought it. I looked on the web site (air-n-[...]) for repair centers and found none. I have an electronic background and so I decided to fix it myself. The water pump had quit working or the water detector switch was bad.
I fired off an email to the company. Nope, they have no repair centers and there is no where to get parts, unless they have them laying around. I tore it apart, got the part number off the pump, and researched it. After hours, I found an internet lead to a similar pump for aquariams. It's not the same pump, but you wouldn't know it by just looking at the dang thing. It's actually an earlier production of the same pump, just different base part number.
I have to admit, owning this thing is an adventure. However, if you don't have electro-mechanical repair knowledge and a genius' skills for researching suitable parts on the internet, stay away. BUYER BEWARE, they forget about you once they have your money.
